Our roundup of new music you should be listening to is here! Some fresh, exciting new drops from many different artists, from Meryem Saci, whose latest music video we recently dicsussed, to the highly anticipated SZA album!

Check out our list below:

SZA's new album, "CTRL"

The sweet and intriguing vocals that SZA always seems to deliver have had fans highly anticipating her official debut album, "CTRL," and Friday, June 9th, the singer finally gave them what they were waiting for. The album is her second project for Top Dawg Entertainment and falls in line with the beautiful, slow sonic cohesion we're used to getting from her.

Meryem Saci's debut mixtape, "On My Way"

Meryem Saci, the Montreal-based songstress who walks the line between soul singer and rapper, has released her debut mixtape "On My Way." The 12-track project features uptempo, spitfire rapping dance tracks like "Concrete Jungle," balanced with wonderfully slow melodies like "Float" where Saci doesn't let you forget she's a singer first and foremost. The project reminds me of a Lauryn Hill or Queen Latifah album, one that is hard to place into the box of "R&B" or "hip-hop," and exists as a reminder that those two genres are truly a false dichotomy. The songs are exciting, well produced and, as I previously mentioned, there is an undeniable queer house influence. Might I suggest Saci collaborate with a queer rapper like Le1f, Mykki Blanco, or Cakes Da Killa?

Taylor Alxndr, "NIghtwork"

Atlanta-based singerdragqueenartistactivist Taylor Alxndr released a music video to accompany their song "NIghtwork," in anticipation for their debut a EP "Noise" which comes out July 7th. The video is a vibrant, raw look into Taylor's nights as a drag queen, beautifying themself and 'putting in that nightwork' to pay the bills. Check out their website here, and watch their music video below!

TLC, "Way Back"

TLC takes us way back with their new video and single, which feels like the throwback to the 90s we've all needed in our lives lately. The video brings us back to that classic block party, everybody and all they cousins on the corner, cornrows and double-dutch, choreography with the whole neighborhood feeling we haven't seen in a while. Watch it below!

Aminé featuring Kehlani, "Heebiejeebies"

Aminé and Kehlani might sound like a somewhat unexpected collaboration, but the two sure make some damn magic together on the newly released "Jeebiejeebies." It sounds almost like a part two to Aminé's hit single "Caroline" the way his flow is slow and and calculated perfectly to the beat, and as Kehlani's vocals match word-for-word to Aminé's rapping it leaves us hoping they collaborate again. Soon.
