NEW MUSIC MONDAY: SOMETHING FOR YOUR M.I.N.D.

superorganism

A quick Google search for Superorganisim, the group behind the infectious tune "Something for Your M.I.N.D.", will only lead you to Wikipedia entries on massive ant hives. The info to be found on the band points you to 17-year-old Japanese girl named Orono who lives in Maine and collaborates with 7 other people in London. That's it. Or at least that's what they want you to think. Though the band is a mystery, "Something for Your M.I.N.D." is the intoxicating tune you need this week.

"Something for your mind is refreshingly uncool. The start-stop rhythm and deadpan vocals instantly work their way into your ears and stay there. It sounds at times both brand new and exactly like something I would play in 2006. You can't go too wrong with that.
